Philadelphia 76ers buys e-sports teams

The NBA's Philadelphia 76ers acquired two electronic-sports teams to become the first North American pro sports franchise to do so.

The 76ers and its ownership group also owns the New Jersey Devils of the NHL and the English Premier League team Crystal Palace FC.

Now, they'll manage the day-to-day operations of Team Dignitas and Apex, both of which are known for competing in the online role-playing game "League of Legends."
