Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla announced the company would hike the price of COVID-19 antiviral treatment Paxlovid.
The price of the drug currently is $530 for a treatment course. The new price has not been released, but one analyst said in a media report that it could go up to as much as $2,500 per course.
Pfizer earlier this year raised the prices of COVID-19 vaccines by more than fourfold.
