Pfizer Inc. doubled its third-quarter earnings on higher sales and lower expenses.
Net income was $2.84 billion, or 47 cents per share, an increase from $1.36 billion, or 22 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 1 percent to $13.12 billion, on par with analysts' forecasts.
