Pfizer considers sale of consumer health care business

Pfizer Inc. is exploring options for its consumer health care business that could include a sale.

The business had $3.4 billion in revenue last year. Pfizer officials say it's "distinct enough" from the company's core business that it could stand alone and potentially be more valuable outside of the firm.

Through its consumer health care business, Pfizer operates brands such as ChapStick.
