Petco stops selling shock collars

Petco announced it stopped selling shock collars and called on its industry peers to do the same.

“As a health and wellness company, our mission is focused on improving pet lives and we think selling shock collars does the opposite," said Ron Coughlin, CEO of the pet supply retailer.

The company plans to focus on positive reinforcement training methods, according to the announcement.
