PepsiCo launches aspartame-free diet sodas

Posted online
Aspartame-free Diet Pepsi is now available, according to a statement released Monday from PepsiCo.

The sodas, which feature an "aspartame free" logo, instead use ace-K, or acesulfame-potassium, and sucralose, better known as Splenda, according to USA Today.

Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi and Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi also are ditching aspartame. They're scheduled to begin appearing on store shelves next week.
