Despite weak sales in North America, PepsiCo's third-quarter earnings topped Wall Street expectations.
The owner of Frito-Lay snacks, Pepsi cola, Mountain Dew and Gatorade posted adjusted earnings of $1.48 per share. That's ahead of the $1.43 per share estimate by analysts.
Revenue, however, fell below estimates. Actual revenue was $16.2 billion, below analysts' expectations of $16.3 billion.
