Chamber
Pamela Jen-kins was added to the staff of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce as a finance and operations coordinator. Jenkins handles accounts payable and billing operations, and assists with the economic development department and general operations of the chamber. Jenkins has more than 15 years experience in the field.
Engineering
Todd Mueller, EIT, joined the staff of ESC Inc. Engineers and Architects. Mueller has experience in civil and environmental engineering, and he also has been involved in the inspection of roadway, construction, dam projects and land development.
Finance
Melody Connor was promoted to assistant vice president of Metropolitan National Bank and bank manager for the Nixa location. Her responsibilities include managing retail operations, personal banking and business development of deposit accounts in the Christian County market. Connor joined Metropolitan in 1998 and has more than 15 years of banking experience.
Brian J. Russell was named a sales representative for Great American Title Company. Russell earned his degree in business administration from Southwest Missouri State University, and has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing.
Law
Richard Dorr was nominated to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri by Sen. Kit Bond. Dorr is managing partner with Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin's Springfield office. He is being recommended to fill a judgeship created by the death of D. Brook Bartlett in January 2000. Dorr earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Missouri.
Medicine
Ronald G. Jones, MD, joined Northside Pediatrics and Adolescents. Jones has worked for the past three years in Rome, Ga., and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee.
Technology
Jack Henry & Associates announced two promotions.
Jack Prim was promoted to chief operating officer. Prim previously served as general manager for the e-services division. His responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the company. Prim received his master's degree from Queens College in North Carolina.
Ed Rhea was promoted to vice president. Rhea served as general manager of sales and marketing since 1996 and currently oversees the national sales team.
Tourism
Heather Garvin joined the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau as communications coordinator. Garvin is responsible for advertising sales, publications and the Marketing Partnership Program. Garvin, who formerly worked in sales at Mitchum Jewelers in Ozark, holds a marketing degree from SMSU.
Trade
Louanna Honeycutt Burress contracted with the city of Springfield's Airport Board to act as Foreign Trade Zone administrator. Burress is charged with activating and developing the Springfield Foreign Trade Zone project. Burress developed and managed the Sedgwick County Foreign Trade Zone project in Wichita, Kan.
