Melvin G. Hall, founder of First Community Bank of Taney County, has retired from active involvement in banking after a 50-year career. Hall has served as chairman of the board for 14 financial institutions in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Arkansas, as well as building a hotel and theater in Branson. He holds several honorary doctorates and has received many honors for his community service.
Jeff W. Chronister has joined Commerce Bank as assistant vice president, commercial lending division. In his new position, Chronister will be responsible for business development and customer service related to the bank's commercial banking services. He has eight years of banking and lending experience.
Christopher Swiecicki, JD, has joined Commerce Bank as trust officer in the bank's investment management group division. In this position, he is responsible for personal trust administration and business development. Swiecicki's experience in private practice includes litigation in the areas of civil, employment and corporate, as well as tax matters.
