Kent Thomas has been named vice president for administrative services at Southwest Missouri State University. Thomas is now serving as a colonel in the U.S. Army and will begin his duties at SMSU in August. In his new position, he will have responsibility for the areas of human resources, information services, physical plant, procurement, safety and transportation.
