Michael Bloom has joined John Q. Hammons Hotels, University Plaza, as assistant general manager. Bloom will be responsible for daily operations of the hotel and convention center. He has more than 10 years of hospitality experience, including work as general manager of Cocoa Beach Oceanside Resort and general manager of Disney's Big Red Boat.
