William R. Hammitt Jr. has been promoted to vice president of BKD Financial LLC. Hammitt will help manage corporate finance engagements for companies throughout the United States, including debt and equity financing transactions, and business acquisitions and divestitures. Hammitt joined BKD Financial in May 1997 as senior financial analyst and associate banker. BKD Financial is a subsidiary of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, certified public accountants.
Russ Marquart has been promoted to senior vice president, commercial lending, at Empire Bank. He is responsible for business development and customer retention in the commercial lending area. Marquart is a lifelong resident of southwest Missouri and an 11-year veteran of Empire Bank.
