R. Bruce McMellen, of Nixa, has been named a new field representative and salesman for BioSys Inc. in the Springfield, Greene and Christian County areas. BioSys is an Austin, Texas-based manufacturer of bacteria that consume hydrocarbon products like used motor oil and convert them into carbon dioxide and water vapor. Other bacteria do the same to animal fats, such as kitchen grease.
