L. Wyrick "Rick" Westphal has been appointed the Southwest Missouri Humane Society's new executive director. As executive director, Westphal will give overall direction and guidance to the organization's structure, develop public awareness of the mission and needs of the Humane Society and coordinate activities throughout the society's 23-county service area. He has several years of management background and a record of accomplishment in health care administration. He has been listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
