Dr. George Calhoun Jr. has been named associate dean of the College of Education at Southwest Missouri State University. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan, and his master's and bachelor's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. Calhoun served as the coordinator for higher education at California State in Bakersfield from 1973 to 1980 and as chair of the advanced educational studies department at that school from 1986 to 1992.
