Evangel University has announced the addition of six new faculty members during this academic year.

Jeanne Allread is an assistant professor of education. She earned her bachelor's degree from North Central College of the Assemblies of God, and earned a master's degree in learning disabilities and reading specialist from Regent University.

Frederick Drake, assistant professor of education, earned his bachelor's degree from Drury College. Drake received both his master's degree in biology and his doctorate in educational administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to joining Evangel's faculty, Drake taught for 18 years in Springfield Public Schools.

Erica Harris is an instructor in the science and techology department at Evangel. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology and her master's in biology from SMSU.

Timothy Hayes, assistant professor of social science, earned his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, and his bachelor's degree in public administration and government from Evangel.

Celeste Jenkins has been named an assistant professor of business. Jenkins earned her bachelor's degree in public administration and government from Evangel. She also holds a juris doctorate from Baylor School of Law and a master's in international law from the University of Notre Dame.

Jonathan Spence, assistant professor of education, earned his bachelor's degree in social science secondary education from Evangel. Spence received his master's degree in secondary education administration from SMSU. He also serves as an assistant coach for the Evangel University football team.

Mark Hafner, director of student activities at Evangel University, has been promoted to director of conference and convention services. He will continue to serve as director of student activities. His additional duties as director of conference and convention services will include scheduling and logistical coordination of events; hiring, training and supervising conference office staff; and approving and monitoring use of campus facilities by organizations and groups.
