Phil Young has joined Pellham-Phillips-Hagerman Architects and Engineers as an architect intern. He received a bachelor's degree in architecture from Drury College. Ecological design is his area of specialty.

The Springfield office of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson announced the promotions of Jared K. Scott, CPA, and Mark P. Sharp, CPA.
Scott was promoted from manager to managing consultant. He provides employee benefit plans and tax consulting services, focusing on pension administration and employee coverage, compensation and retirement distribution. He is a pension administrator and certified pension consultant. He has a master's degree in accountancy.
Sharp was promoted from senior consultant to managing consultant. He assists with projections, feasibility studies, financing and strategic planning and operating budgets. He is involved with health care consulting engagements designed to enhance reimbursement and improve operational efficiencies. Sharp has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from SMSU.
Michael J. Casey has joined Citizens National Bank as vice president. An area banker for 14 years, Casey is experienced in commercial lending, business development and real estate lending. He received an MBA from Northwest Missouri State College.
Matt Kirkey has joined Union Planters Bank as assistant vice president, responsible for a wide range of consumer banking services, including personal and real estate loans at the 2927 S. Campbell branch. Kirkey has more than seven years of banking experience and attended Southwest Missouri State University.
Scott Mitchell has joined Union Planters Bank's commercial lending staff as vice president, senior loan officer and bank spokesman. He is responsible for the development and servicing of commercial, consumer and real estate lending in the Bolivar area. Mitchell has more than 16 years of experience in the financial industry. He graduated from SMSU.
Rick Smith has joined Liberty Mortgage as assistant vice president. Smith is a 1977 graduate of SMSU and has been in real estate and lending for more than 15 years. He was recently vice president in the real estate department at a regional bank.
Shelly L. Titus has joined Commerce Bank as assistant vice president and retail sales manager. She is responsible for coordinating retail sales and service quality programs for 21 Commerce branches in southwest Missouri. Titus has nearly seven years of experience in the retail, financial services and human resources management industries. She has a bachelor of science degree in organizational communication and human resources management/industrial relations from SMSU.
Lisa G. Workman, CPA, has been named firmwide associate director of tax services for Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, certified public accountants. Workman will help provide direction and quality control oversight to the Springfield-based firm's seven-state area tax practice.
She transferred from BKD's Joplin office where she provided tax and consulting services during the past eight years. She has a master of taxation degree from the University of Tulsa.[[In-content Ad]]
