Steve Bowen has joined the staff of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners. He received a bachelor of science degree in geography and geology in 1990 from Northwest Missouri State University and completed graduate coursework for a master of resource planning degree at SMSU in 1992. He has provided consulting services to municipalities.

Zach Spoering has joined The Wischmeyer Architects Inc. as an architect intern. He is responsible for a variety of work on architectural projects from conception to completion. He graduated in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in architecture from Drury College.

B.M. Carnell, MD, family practice, has joined Walnut Grove Family Clinic in Walnut Grove. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed an internship at St. Louis County Hospital. He has been in practice for more than 30 years.

Jack Davis has been hired as vice president and chief information officer at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin. Davis has experience in planning, developing, implementing and managing information technologies in the health care field. He comes to St. John's from Mercy Health Partners, Toledo, Ohio, where he served as regional vice president of information services.

Beth B. Eagleton, PhD, RN, has been hired as vice president of patient care services at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin. She will oversee patient service, and ensure the fiscal viability and quality of nursing and clinical care services. Eagleton was previously corporate vice president and chief nursing executive for the Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas.

Dorothy K. Knowles has been appointed executive director of Southwest Missouri Office on Aging. She has been employed by the agency for 27 years and most recently served as associate executive director.

Kristy A. McCall, MD, OB-GYN, has joined Ferrell-Duncan Clinic Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Bradley H. Walz, MD, has joined St. John's Orthopedic Association. He received a medical degree in 1994 from Creighton Uni-versity School of Medicine, and completed an orthopedic surgery residency this summer at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Phillis Irvine recently joined the staff at Barker Phillips Jackson Inc. as a customer service agent. Irvine has worked in the insurance field since 1979.

Mike Scott has joined the life, health and group department of Barker Phillips Jackson Insurance. Prior to joining BPJ, Scott was a marketing associate for Cox-Freeman Health Plans and Cox Insurance Company.

Bob Hancock has joined the sales department of American Business Systems. His responsibilities include the sale and marketing of digital copiers, printers and commercial fax machines. Hancock has several years of experience in office equipment sales in southwest Missouri.

Larry Krauck has been hired as sports sales manager at the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau. Krauck will focus on bringing sporting tournaments and other athletic events to Springfield.[[In-content Ad]]
