Alan Bryce joined Springfield Little Theatre as executive director. Previously, he worked as an actor in the British Regional Theatre. Bryce also served as the producing artistic director of the Overground Theatre in London, and as a theater consultant at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. For the past 10 years, Bryce was on the faculty of Siena College in Albany, N.Y., where he also directed many productions.

Construction

Mark Terbrock joined the staff of Image Builders & Associates Inc. as a project estimator. He has 20 years of experience in residential as well as commercial estimating and construction management. Previously, he worked for Unified, Meco Systems, Whitney Construction and MoDoCo Inc. He will be responsible for the estimating and management of local and military construction projects.

Education

Andy Denton is now director of admissions for Evangel University. Denton, a 1998 Evangel graduate, is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at SMSU. For the two years prior to becoming director of admissions, Denton served as an admissions counselor for Evangel. His new duties include recruitment, campus visits and telecounseling.

Gail Hinshaw joined the staff of Webster University as faculty coordinator for the Ozark Regional Campus. Hinshaw has more than 17 years of experience with Webster's Ft. Leonard Wood campus, where he served as faculty coordinator and adjunct faculty. He is the president of Hinshaw & Associates and currently teaches for the Management Development Institute at SMSU.

Finance

Shareen Beal was promoted to senior vice president of Commerce Brokerage Services Inc., a subsidiary of Commerce Bank N.A. Beal has 16 years of experience in investments, banking and finance. She is a licensed Series 7 and 63 General Securities representative, and she is registered with the OCC, SEC and NASD. She is responsible for the sale of personal investment products, including stocks, bonds, annuities and mutual funds.

Andrea Norton Letsch joined the staff of Firstar Bank as the assistant vice president of private banking. Letsch earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Kansas-Lawrence, and she is working toward a master's degree at SMSU. She has three years of experience in the financial services industry. Her responsibilities with Firstar include providing financial services for private banking customers and developing new business.

Rebecca Scorse was promoted to vice president in Firstar's commercial loan department. She has been in the banking industry since 1985. Scorse earned a bachelor's degree at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, and she completed with honors the Missouri School of Commercial Lending program. Scorse also completed the Loans to Small Businesses and Financial Accounting for Bankers Omega courses. In her new position, she will market commercial lending products to commercial customers and develop new business.

Mark Prainito joined Bank of America as vice president and business banking client manager. He earned a bachelor's degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, and a master's degree in finance from Webster University in St. Louis. Prainito has more than 12 years of experience in the banking industry. Previously, he worked as a commercial lender with Empire Bank in Springfield. Prainito's new responsibilities include small business lending, business development and deposit relationships.

Robert P. Ruff was promoted from consultant to senior consultant at Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, certified public accountants. Ruff is a member of BKD's management consulting services department. He provides Sage MAS 90 accounting software consulting, installation, training and ongoing support services for clients in all industries. Ruff is a graduate of SMSU, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems and accounting.

Kim L. Linder was promoted from staff consultant to consultant by BKD. Linder is a graduate of SMSU, with a degree in accounting. She is a member of the firm's employee benefits team. Her duties include providing third-party administration services for 401(k), profit sharing and pension plans.

Mid-Missouri Mortgage Company has announced several staff additions.

Tim Boll joined the company as a loan officer. Boll previously worked in retail management. He has worked as a loan originator in the Springfield market for more than two years.

Wagner Huttenlocher joined Mid-Missouri Mortgage Co. as a loan officer. A Brazilian native, Hutttenlocher has been in the Springfield area for six years. He has experience in sales, customer service, finance and management.

Vicki Wallander joined the company as branch office manager of the company's Montclair branch. She previously worked in the real estate business, and has been a mortgage loan processor for the past two years. Wallander's duties include overseeing processing for all varieties of residential loans, including purchases, refinances, conventional, FHA, VA and nonconforming loans.

Scott Wolf joined the company as a loan officer. He is a 1997 graduate of Central Methodist College. Previously, Wolf worked as a loan officer for a secondary lender. His duties as a loan officer include generating leads, networking with realtors, originating loans and providing customer service.

Health Care

Laurie Knowlton joined Visions Studio as a massage therapist. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and PMTC, in Springfield. Knowlton is OMERI certified in orthopedic assessment, and nationally certified by NCBTMB. Previously, Knowlton practiced with Natural Touches.

Guy Rosenschein, MD joined St. John's Physicians as a pediatric surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the Universit de Paris in 1982. Previously, Rosenschein held a teaching position at Staten Island University Hospital in New York in the surgical residency program.

Personnel

Jayme Murray joined the staff of Human Resource as a staffing coordinator. Human Resource specializes in clerical, light industrial and warehouse positions.

Insurance

Leta Blevins joined Barker Phillips Jackson Insurance as a commercial lines customer service agent in the company's Springfield office. She has worked in the insurance industry for 30 years.

Law

John N. Vaughan joined the law firm of Wallace, Saunders, Austin, Brown and Enochs, Chartered, as an associate. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning his law degree in 1997.

Media

Mark Gordon joined the staff of Quorum Broadcasting of Missouri Inc. as the general sales manager of KOLR and KDEB television stations. Gordon has 23 years of experience in broadcast sales in Missouri, Kansas and Mississippi. Prior to joining Quorum Broadcasting, he was the general sales manager for KYTV.

KYTV announced several staff changes and additions. Weathercaster Tom Dye retired after 47 years in Ozarks radio and television. Ron Hearst was promoted to chief meteorologist. Previously, Hearst was the meteorologist of the Ozarks Today newscast. Brandon Beck was named the meteorologist of the Ozarks Today newscast. Beck previously served as the meteorologist for the weekend editions of KY3 News. Grant Johnston joined KYTV as the meteorologist for the KY3 News weekend editions. Johnston previously worked for KMIZ-TV in Columbia. Christine Bielawski is now a reporter. Previously, she served as a weekend producer. Jack Wang and Paul Aker joined KY3 as reporters. Wang previously worked at KOLN in Lincoln, Neb. Aker previously worked for KDLT in Mitchell, S.D. Brett Onstott joined KY3 as a weekend producer and an assigning producer. Previously, Onstott worked for KOMC/KRZK Radio in Branson.

Springfield 33 (KSPR-TV) announced a promotion and staff additions. Angie Henshaw has been promoted to local sales manager for Springfield 33. She has been with the station for 18 months, initially serving as an account manager. Prior to her promotion, she served as the national sales manager.

Torrey Foster has joined the staff of Springfield 33 as an account manager. Foster has more than six years of experience in media sales. Previously, Foster worked for Time Warner in Kansas City. Foster is responsible for developing local advertising business.

Zach Daniel joined the staff of Springfield 33 as the weekend meteorologist for Springfield 33 News. He has a bachelor of science degree in geography from the University of Georgia, and he recently received a bachelor of science degree in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma.

Springfield Business Journal announced two staff additions and a promotion. Michael J. Corner joined the staff as a production assistant. He assists the company's production director and is responsible for the design and computer composition of advertising content for the SBJ. Corner is a 1999 graduate of Drury University, where he earned a degree in visual communication.

Ben Fielder is a graduate of Drury University. Previously, he served as the assistant director of marketing and promotions for Sunburst Media. In his new position at Springfield Business Journal, Fielder is responsible for display advertising sales as well as providing customer service for new and existing clients for the weekly publication.

Maria Hoover was promoted to a full-time reporter position with SBJ. She previously worked as a news reporter for KSMU radio and as an intern and staff reporter for The Southwest Standard. Hoover previously served as an editorial intern for SBJ, and joined the staff on a part-time basis in Dec. 1999. Her duties include news compilation and writing for the SBJ Daily Update, a five-day per week facsimile and electronic news publication, as well as reporting and writing for the weekly newspaper.

Melinda Mancuso was promoted to public relations and marketing director for Dickerson Park Zoo's Friends of the Zoo. Mancuso joined the Friends of the Zoo staff in 1994 as the special events coordinator. She has also served as the marketing and public relations coordinator. Mancuso is responsible for public relations, marketing and promotional activities for Friends of the Zoo and Dickerson Park Zoo.

Sales & Service

Terry King joined Commercial Metals Company as an outside sales and customer consultant. He has more than 25 years of experience in outside sales and customer contact service. King will provide CMC's customers consulting services with their scrap and metal requirements.
