Teri Rozell and Bryan Walton have joined Davis, Lynn & Moots, a CPA firm in Springfield, as staff accountants. They both will perform audit, accounting and tax services. Rozell, a Southwest Missouri State University graduate, previously worked at Guaranty Federal Bank. Walton, also an SMSU graduate, worked for Elliott, Robinson & Co.
Banking
James E. Shirato has been appointed to First National Bank of Springfield's Advisory Board. Shirato, a former franchise owner of Manpower Inc. in Springfield, Joplin and Pittsburg, Kan., is the founder and president of Shirato Properties Inc., Shirato Redevelopment Corp., J&V Company LLC and Shirato Parking Systems. He has purchased and renovated many downtown properties including the Vandivort Center.
Commerce Bank has announced three promotions.
Jo Hicks is now senior vice president in the bank's commercial lending division. Hicks, who serves on the bank's internal loan committee, has 33 years of experience in banking and specializes in lending and relationship management for commercial and small-business customers, including SBA loans.
Prior to joining Commerce Bank in 1993, she worked 23 years for Wells Fargo Bank in California.
Sharyl Boyce is now assistant vice president of Commerce Brokerage Services Inc., a division of Commerce Bank. Boyce has 17 year's experience in finance and business, and specializes in providing clients with comprehensive investment information from college planning to retirement planning. A licensed general securities representative, she is registered with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currrency, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc. She previously worked for the Missouri Attorney General's Office.
Karen Wagner is the regional training officer in the organizational development division of the bank. Wagner has 19 year's experience in banking and specializes in implementing business education and leadership development programs and initiative for Commerce Banks in outstate Missouri and Kansas. Prior to joining Commerce in 1998, she worked 15 years for financial institutions in Illinois.
Health Care
Lori MacPherson, MD, has joined Cox Family Medicine clinic in Mountain Grove. MacPherson, a Mountain Grove native, offers special interest in preventative health, pediatrics, women's health and geriatrics. The clinic is a member of Cox Health Systems.
MacPherson attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed the Cox Family Practice Residency program, where she served as chief resident. She is a member of the American Board of Family Practice, American Academy of Family Physicians and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
