Kelli Duncan joined Butler Rosenbury & Partners as an intern architect after working with a firm in Columbia. Her experience includes model building and freehand sketching. Duncan graduated from Hammons School of Architecture at Drury in 1999.

Andy Reagan joined Butler Rosenbury & Partners full time in May. He completed an internship at the firm during summer 1999 under the direction of Frank Zanaboni. He received a master of landscape architecture from Kansas State University.

ESC Inc. Engineers and Architects has two additions to its staff. John David Limp is an architect with 25 years of experience in areas including project design, review of design and development drawings, document preparation, coordination observation and administration. Bill Hunsperger is an engineer with 16 years' experience in areas including design production, testing and starting equipment for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Hunsperger is currently focusing on electrical instrumentation and controls.

Community

Tricia Meinhold was promoted to director of aquatics at the Springfield Family YMCA. She has been with the YMCA for 10 years, most recently working as welcome center coordinator.

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks recently announced appointments to five staff positions. Linda Drake joined CBCO as marketing manager. She is responsible for marketing, promotional materials and events planning. Prior to joining CBCO, Drake was regional director of sales for the eastern Missouri and Illinois region of Beverly Industries. She has 10 years of experience in health care marketing and public relations. Johnelle Hargis was named special donations coordinator at CBCO. She is responsible for coordinating the collection and delivery of autologous (self-donations) and special donations made at the request of physicians for individual patient surgeries. Hargis has worked in the special donations department since December 1998. Jean LeJeune was named assistant director of donor room services. She most recently served as quality assurance associate for CBCO. LeJune is responsible for helping with the management of donor collection activities throughout the region. Cindy Lusby was promoted to director of donor room services. She is responsible for supervising all aspects of the CBCO collections staff and donor room services activities. Lusby has more than eight years of blood banking experience. Lisa Medley was named donor recruitment representative at CBCO. Her responsibilities include working with schools, businesses, churches and other organizations in south Greene and Christian counties to help set up bloodmobiles for CBCO. Prior to her new position, Medley served as production manger for Thrifty Nickel.

Education

Dr. Scott Amos has assumed the duties of head professor with tenure in Southwest Missouri State University's technology department. He comes to SMSU from Weber State University-Ogden, Utah, where he was the coordinating and founding professor of the construction management technology program since 1997.

Dr. David Hough was named acting dean of SMSU's College of Education. He previously served as director of the SMSU Institute for School Improvement since 1998 and as a faculty member in the College of Education since 1991. He has a doctorate in education from the University of California.

Dr. Chris Craig was named director and associate professor at the school of teacher education. Dr. David Brown has assumed the duties of director of student services and academic outreach for the College of Education and associate professor in education field experiences.

Dr. Cynthia L. Pemberton was named acting dean of SMSU's College of Health and Human Services. She taught and served as chairperson of the physical education department and interim associate dean of the school of education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has a doctorate in kinesiology from the University of Illinois.

Health Care

Mark W. Coburn, MD, radiology, joined St. John' s Regional Health Center. He received a combined bachelor's and medical degree in 1995 from UMKC. He recently completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Keith W. Ellis, MD, internal medicine, joined St. John's Whiteside Adult Medicine. Ellis received his medical degree in 1997 from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center-Knoxville.

J. Clay Fuselier, DDS, MD, oral and maxillofacial surgery, joined St. John's Oral & Facial Surgery of the Ozarks. He received his dental degree in 1993 from Baylor College of Dentistry-Dallas, Texas. He received his medical degree in 1996 at the University of Texas Southwestern Branch-Dallas.

James L. Jordan, MD, occupational medicine, joined St. John's Health System at Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical Building. He received his medical degree in 1981 from the University of Mississippi Medical School. He completed a fellowship in occupational medicine in 1996 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center-Worcester. Jordan was most recently medical director at Adena Occupational Health Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Glen W. King, DO, joined the St. John's Medical Center staff in Joplin with a specialty in family practice. He will work at Mercy Clinics, located in the St. John's Family Care Center. He is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences-Kansas City, the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and Northeast Missouri State University-Kirksville. He completed his family practice residency at Baptist Medical Center-Goppert Family Care Center in Kansas City.

John D. Lilly, DO, family medicine, joined St. John's East Sunshine Family Practice. He received his medical degree in 1997 from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine-Kansas City. He recently completed family practice residency at Cox Health Systems.

Geoff Lloyd-Smith, MD, urology, joined St. John's Urology Surgical Associates. He received his medical degree in 1981 at Queens University, Kinsington-Ontario, Canada. He previously worked in private practice in Lake City, Fla.

Restaurant

Vince and Chuck Abel were selected to manage Mariners Pier 31 Yacht Club, the newly constructed lakeside restaurant and sports bar on Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton. They have a combined 20 years of experience in the restaurant business. Vince Abel has a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management. Chuck Abel began his restaurant career at age 17 and has worked up to the management level.

Technology

Jeana Herbert was hired as an instructor at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. She teaches Microsoft Corel, Lotus and Internet applications. Herbert also has experience with Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. She has a bachelor of science in education from SMSU.

Jeannene Ingram was named account executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. She is responsible for inside sales for businesses and individuals in southwest Missouri. She has 10 years of sales and customer service experience.

Cheryl Jenkins was hired as an account executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. She is responsible for inside sales for businesses and individuals in southwest Missouri. She has nine years of sales and customer service experience, both in the insurance and financial industries.

Travel

Allen Deeds was named general manger of The Polynesian Princess in Branson. He was previously the boat's cruise director. Deeds spent 22 years as cruise director for the Norwegian, Ulysses and Starlite cruise lines.
