The admissions office of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar announced the addition of two staff members. Isaac Hallock and Heather Hayes joined the office as assistant directors of admissions. Hallock graduated from SBU in July with a degree in music. He is responsible for the coordination of new student recruiting in southeast Missouri and the eastern United States. Hayes earned a sports management degree from SBU in 1999, and a master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is responsible for recruiting graduate-level physical therapy students, undergraduate and transfer students for the spring semester, and students interested in enrolling in SBU's extension centers.

Dr. Paul Thom-linson, vice president of research and quality assurance at Burrell Behavioral Health, joined the adjunct faculty of Webster University. Thomlinson teaches in the master of arts degree program.

Finance

Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, certified public accountants, announced the promotions of three staff members from staff accountant to senior accountant. Bradley K. Brotherton is a 1998 graduate of Southwest Baptist University-Bolivar, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He provides Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement consulting, and audit and cost report preparation services for hospitals. William W. Ladd is a 1998 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, and he holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Ladd provides financial reporting services for clients in the real estate industry. Stacy J. Randel is a 1998 graduate of SBU, and earned a degree in accounting and business administration. Randel provides audit services for financial institutions, colleges and universities.

Health Care

St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin announced two additions to its medical staff. E. DiAnn Hunter, MD, joined the center's Pediatric Associates of Southwest Missouri office with a specialty in pediatrics. Hunter is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa College of Medicine. She completed an internship and a pediatric residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Hunter is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Tamon B. Paige, MD, joined the staff with a specialty in psychiatry. He will be in private practice at the Counseling and Resource Center and the College Skyline Center. Paige received his degree from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, and his medical degree from the University of Kansas-Lawrence Medical Center, where he completed a residency in psychiatry.

Travel & Tourism

Wonders of Wildlife, the American National Fish and Wildlife Museum has announced a staff promotion and an addition. Lisa Hawkins was promoted to public relations and events coordinator. Hawkins has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, development and event production. She previously served the museum by providing administrative support and exhibit preparation.

Ed Justus was named administrative services manager for the museum. He has a bachelor of science degree in operations management from Drake University, as well as training in safety, loss prevention and development. Justus has 19 years of experience in management and most recently was the owner of PakMail in Osage Beach. In his new position, Justus is responsible for the coordination of office services, telecommunications and purchasing.

Sherry Wallace was appointed director of marketing and communications for the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport. Wallace holds an undergraduate degree from Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., and a master's degree in public administration from SMSU. She has eight years of experience in developing and implementing media and publicity plans for election campaigns. Wallace previously worked for Boys & Girls Town of Missouri.
