Scott W. Gold, a certified public accountant with Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, CPAs, was promoted from senior accountant to supervisor. He holds a master's degree in accounting from Southwest Missouri State University. Gold provides consulting, audit and cost reimbursement services for health care providers, including hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Associations
Lewis Miller retired as president of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, a position he held for 21 years. During Miller's tenure, the association's membership grew from 400 members to 3,000. The association's magazine, Fairs and Expos, grew from a 12-page newsletter to a four-color publication with more than 100 pages.
Finance
Commerce Bank announced three staff changes.
Steve Hamm was named vice president of Commerce Bank's commercial lending division. He has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, and 18 of those have been with Commerce Bank. Prior to his new position, Hamm was manager of Commerce's Sunshine Banking Center, 3301 E. Sunshine St.
Nichole Goddard was named branch manager of the Sunshine Banking Center. Goddard has about five years of banking experience, and previously was the branch manager for the bank's Republic Road Banking Center, 2770 W. Republic Road.
Joel Walters was named vice president and branch manager of the Republic Road Banking Center. He has been with Commerce for more than 20 years. His most recent previous position was branch manager for Commerce's Nixa Banking Center at Highways 160 and CC.
Health care
Three physicians have joined St. John's Health System.
Monica R. Vandivort, MD, joined St. John's Senior Health Center. She holds a medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Vandivort is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics.
Robert J. Steelman, MD, joined the Pediatric Critical Care Department at St. John's Regional Health Center. Steelman earned his medical degree in 1993 at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, W.Va. He is board-certified in pediatrics.
W. Stephen Hughes, MD, joined St. John's Plastic Surgeons. He earned his medical degree in 1988 at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he also completed his surgical and plastic surgery residencies. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.
