Airport

Springfield-Branson Regional Air-port announced two staff additions.

Wendy Hoy joined the airport as a customer service representative in general aviation. Hoy spent 10 years with the Marines, performing administrative work in the United States and in Oki-nawa, Japan. David Mills joined the airfield maintenance team. Mills previously worked in maintenance at the Monett Airport while completing his ground pilot training at Ozarks Technical Com-munity College.

Banking

John D. Ford was promoted to assistant vice president at Bank of America. Ford is a graduate of Missouri South-ern State College and has been with the bank since 1990. He is responsible for small business lending, business development and deposit relationships in the Springfield market.

Ozark Bank announced two staff additions.

Dan R. Mathenia joined the bank as senior vice president/chief fi-nancial officer. Mathenia has 26 years of experience in banking.

Jerry Shipley joined the bank as senior vice president/chief operations officer. He is re-sponsible for the overall operations of the bank and nontraditional depos-it products. Shipley has more than 17 years of experience in the field.

Financial Services

BKD LLP announced several staff additions.

Erica M. Beller joined the firm as a staff accountant. Beller is responsible for general tax, audit and accounting engagements. She holds a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Brian J. Marino, Bobbi Jo Mixen and Alan J. Nippes joined the firm as interns. All three assist with general tax, audit and accounting engagements.

Insurance

Brian E. Orr joined American United Life Retirement Services as regional sales consultant. Orr's duties include acting as external wholesaler for AUL pension and profit-sharing plans in the Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa markets.

Suzanne Sharp joined Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance as corporate education facilitator. Sharp is responsible for promoting and teaching Synergy@Work courses, including hiring skills, leadership development and stress management.

Medicine

Cox Health Systems announced several additions.

Laird A. Bell, MD, joined the Family Medical Care Center as an OB/GYN. Bell earned his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine and holds a master's degree in public health from St. Louis University.

Julia Flax, MD, joined Tri-Lakes Family Healthcare. Flax earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has worked as a staff physician at Daytona International Speedway.

Patty Summerford, FNP, joined the Buffalo Family Healthcare Clinic. Sum-merford specializes in family, pediatric and geriatric medicine. Summerford earned her master's degree in nursing from the Uni-versity of Missouri-Columbia.

Scott A. Turner, MD, joined the Family Medical Care Center as a family practice physician. Turner earned his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He previously practiced in Osceola.

Nancy Waring, MHA, joined The Women's Center as manager. Waring has seven years of health care management experience, and holds a bachelor's degree in gerontology.

Production

Downhome Produc-tions announced two staff additions.

Ed Carson joined the company as head of the audio department and production assistant. Car-son is responsible for all audio production and rentals and various du-ties in lighting, staging and productions management.

Darin Hagan joined as lighting designer, director and production assistant. Hagan previously worked for the Lawrence Welk Champagne Theatre. He is responsible for lighting design and programming and other production duties.
