Vatterott College announced two new staff members at its Springfield campus. Patrick Bryan joined the Vatterott staff as a computer programming instructor. Bryan previously worked as an information technology consultant. In his new position, he instructs students in computer office technologies and computer programming consultants.
Karl Kepford joined Vatterott as a computer technology instructor. Kepford is responsible for software support for lab theory instruction and data communications and hardware support. His previous experience in-cludes working as a service manager and a help desk support person.
Environment
Brent Frakes, PhD, joined Pender-grass Associates Inc. as an environmental scientist. He holds a doctorate in geography from Pennsylvania State Uni-versity. Previously, he was with Knight Piesold Consultants in Denver. Frakes specializes in environmental site assessment, land reclamation, brownfield development and geographical information systems.
Health Care
Lakes Country Rehabilitation Cen-ter announced two new staff members for its Carol Jones Recovery Center team.
Gary Crowe joined the staff as director of substance abuse services. A licensed clinical social worker, Crowe also has a master's degree in counseling/human relations from Webster University. He has 16 years of experience with C-STAR and in the behavioral health arena. He provides treatment regimens for adolescents and adults with various diagnoses, including substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.
Kristi Jackson joined the center as the associate director/clinical coordinator. Jackson also is a licensed clinical social worker, and she holds a master's degree in social work from Florida State University. Her clinical experience in-cludes treatment of family violence, mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Insurance
Paula Goodin was promoted to assistant manager of commercial lines at Barker Phillips Jackson Insurance. She has 16 years of experience in the insurance industry, and joined Barker Phillips Jackson seven years ago. In her new position, she supervises the company's commercial lines customer service. She also provides network support for the company's computer systems.
