Scott Tumlin joined Commerce Bank as assistant vice president of Commerce's small-business banking division. Tumlin has 11 years of experience in the banking industry. He is responsible for business development and customer service related to Com-merce's newly expanded small-business product line.
Religion
The Rev. David W. Hockensmith Jr., D.Min., was named the new executive director of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks. Since 1987, Hockensmith has served as the senior minister for Village Christian Church in Oklahoma City. He also serves as the State Area Command Chaplain for the Oklahoma National Guard. Hockensmith will assume his new position December 3.
Health
Julie Trivitt, retirement plan coordinator for St. John's Health System, joined the adjunct faculty of Webster University, where she teaches managerial economics. Trivitt also has taught macroeconomics principles for the University of Arkansas.
Publishing
George Fry was named a corporate printing sales representative of InterState Studio & Publishing Co. in Se-dalia. Fry will handle corporate sales for the company's commercial printing division.
Fry has owned and operated his own business, and he also has worked as a printing sales manager for Padre Printers in San Diego, Calif., and as a plant production manager for Ideal Printing Company.
