Banking
Byron Pierce II was promoted to the position of commercial loan officer in Commerce Bank's commercial lending division. He has three years of banking and business ex-perience, and prior to his promotion he was a credit analyst for Commerce Bank. In his new position, Pierce is responsible for business development and customer service in the bank's commercial lending services arena.
Health Care
Pam Norman was promoted to director of nursing for ManorCare Health Services. She is a 1981 graduate of the Burge School of Nursing, and she earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Drury University. Norman has more than 20 years of experience in surgical, or-thopedic, urological, mental health and long-term care nursing.
St. John's Health System announced three staff promotions.
Kim Day was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He joined St. John's in March 2000, serving as senior vice president and CFO prior to his promotion. Before joining St. John's, Day was vice president of finance for SSM Health Care in St. Louis.
Pam Reese, vice president and chief nurse executive for St. John's Regional Health Center, was asked to serve on the St. John's executive staff. As a member of the executive staff, she assumes additional regional responsibilities. Reese joined St. John's in 1997, having previously worked for Alegent Health in Omaha, Neb.
Jon Swope was promoted from senior vice president of human resources and administrative services to senior vice president and chief operating officer for St. John's Regional Health Center. Swope joined St. John's in September 1997. Prior to that, he worked for Unity Health Systems in St. Louis.
Media
David White joined Springfield! Magazine as art director. White has a bachelor's degree in media communications from Webster University in St. Louis, and he also attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg and Western Illinois University at Macomb. He previously did several special production assignments for Springfield! Magazine, including its 1996 Guide to Springfield. He formerly worked for the Springfield Business Journal and also was production coordinator for Special Pet Publications Inc.
Technology
Wayne Dipper joined KPM Technologies LLP as a systems engineer. He is a certified netware administrator and a certified Apple developer with experience in software development, database programming and administration, and Web development and maintenance. As a systems engineer with KPM Technologies, Dipper handles network design, consulting, service support, configuration and installation for the company's clients.
Tourism
Beth Hilton Noble joined Wonders of Wildlife, the American National Fish and Wildlife Museum, as its associate executive director of external relations. In her newly created position, Noble will coordinate the functions of marketing, sales, public relations and development. She is a 1980 graduate of SMSU and has 20 years of experience, including 15 years in fund- raising.
Prior to her position with WOW, Noble was the director of development for the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas.
