Alan D. Catron joined Lake Country Boys & Girls Club as its chief professional officer. He is responsible for overseeing planning, program development, financial management and staffs of both the Forsyth and Branson clubs.

Catron is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U. S. Army and a graduate of West Point Military Academy. He also has a master of science degree from the Flor-ida Institute of Technology.

Law

Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP announced a staff promotion and an addition.

Jody M. Hoffman was promoted to paralegal. She assists the firm's litigation department in corporate, real estate and probate matters. Hoff-man earned an associate's degree in paralegal studies from Rhodes Col-lege in 2001.

Charlie Boyce joined Blackwell Sanders Pep-er Martin LLP as a nurse paralegal, working in the firm's litigation de-partment. She has 18 years of experience as a registered nurse, with special expertise in critical care. Hoffman also has three years of experience in risk management. She graduated from Rhodes College in 2001 with an associate's degree in paralegal studies.

Medicine

Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson announced several staff additions.

Pairote Jaroonwanichkul, MD, joined the center's staff of Skaggs Com-munity Health Center as an oncologist and hematologist. He specializes in the treatment of cancer and blood disorders such as anemia, bleeding diseases and tumors originating in the blood and lymphatic systems. Jaroonwanichkul earned his medical degree at Chiangmai University in Thailand in 1982 and completed a master of public health degree from the University of Alabama in 1989. He was a fellow in bone marrow, hematology and oncology for three years at St. Louis University. He also is certified in the areas of oncology, hematology and internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Sterling Blocker, MD, joined Skaggs Community Health Care Center as medical director of wound care and hy-perbaric medicine. His medical background is in general and vascular surgery, surgical oncology, pediatric surgery, wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Blocker completed his medical degree at the University of Texas medical branch at Galveston. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgical oncology and pediatric surgery. Blocker worked as a surgical consultant in Springfield for 10 years prior to joining Skaggs. Antoinette Anderson was named outpatient center coordinator for the center. She will coordinate and oversee patient flow in the departments of laboratory, radiology, pre-admission testing, centralized scheduling, cardiopulmonary services and registration. She will also act as a liaison between the outpatient center and physician office managers. Anderson has been at Skaggs for 15 years, previously serving as registration and admissions supervisor and patient access manager.

Robert L. Coscia, MD, joined Skaggs Community Health Center. He worked for 25 years in Springfield's two health systems and then served for three years as trauma medical director of Brack-enridge Hospital in Austin, Texas.

Coscia earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.
