Rob McCarville joined Medical Consult-ing Group as a member of its consultant group specializing in ophthalmology. McCarville has experience in health care facility management, administration and strategy. Previously, he was responsible for overseeing 16 separate physician practice locations. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a master's degree in public administration.
Fire Department
Dan Whisler was named fire chief for the city of Springfield effective March 18. Whisler has been with the city for 23 years, starting as a firefighter in October 1978. Whisler has held the positions of rescue and salvage specialist, equipment operator, fire marshal, battalion chief and, most recently, served as the assistant fire chief in charge of operations.
