Terry Barksdale was promoted to vice president of real estate lending at Citizens National Bank. Barksdale's primary duties involve 15- and 30-year mortgage loans and refinancing. An employee of Citizens National Bank for five years, Barksdale has been in banking for 18 years.
She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Drury Univers-ity.
Thomas R. Choate was promoted to loan officer and assistant compliance officer at Old Missouri National Bank.
His responsibilities in-clude all forms of retail lending, collecting and assisting the bank's compliance officer. Choate has been with the bank since 1999, serving most recently as collection manager, and previously as lead teller and new ac-counts representative. He attended Southwest Missouri State University and Ozark Technical Community College, and he has completed several courses with the American Institute of Banking.
Education
Cara Burchett was promoted to career services director of Vatterott College-Springfield. Burchett is responsible for assisting students with rsum preparation and job placement, coordinating advisory board meetings and conducting job readiness seminars for students. She has worked at Vatterott Col-lege for three years.
Her previous positions include business courses instructor and high school admissions coordinator. Burchett holds a bachelor's degree in marketing management from SMSU.
Expositions
Missy McCormack was promoted to design and production manager for the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.
Most recently, she was the design and production coordinator of Fairs and Expos. She is responsible for the design of the Fairs and Expos magazine, the annual directory, convention publications and other association materials. McCormack joined IAFE in 1991, and has since facilitated the publication department's transition from the typesetting system to desktop publishing. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in graphic arts with a minor in art from the Col-lege of the Ozarks.
Max Willis was promoted to chief operating officer and chief financial officer for International Association of Fairs and Expositions.
Most recently, he was the assistant general manager and editor of Fairs and Expos. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the office and financial department. Willis has been with IAFE since 1980, and prior to that he was employed at the Ozark Empire Fair.
Rebekah Lee was promoted to managing editor of Fairs and Expos. Her responsibilities include supervising the day-to-day production of the magazine. Lee began working for the IAFE in 2000 as a staff writer and most recently served as copy editor.
She holds a bachelor of arts degree in English literature with a minor in technical writing from SMSU.
Mindy Limback was promoted to web communications manager after recently being a staff writer of Fairs and Expos.
In addition to her writing responsibilities, Limback will be responsible for the content and design of the association's web site. Limback has been a staff writer at IAFE since 2001.
She graduated from SMSU in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in mass media, and she earned her master of arts degree in mass communication from Central Missouri State University in 2001.
