Banking
Peoples Bank of the Ozarks announced two promotions and two hires.
Jo Norton was promoted to loan review specialist. Her work assignments include evaluating loan portfolio and policy to ensure proper practice and procedure with respect to state and federal laws. She has worked in the banking industry for 13 years and with Peoples Bank since 1999. Norton graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in economics.
Linda Morey was promoted to compliance officer and her new responsibilities include ensuring the institution's operations comply with all banking laws and regulations and that the bank's physical property and assets remain secure. She has been in banking for 23 years and with Peoples Bank for almost 10 years. Morey graduated from Sterling College of Missouri with a degree in business administration. She is working toward a masters in business administration at Webster University.
Melissa Carr has joined the bank as its human resource director. Her focus includes the legal compliance, staffing, employee benefits and training for the human resources department. She has worked for three years in the banking industry. Carr completed a degree in human resources at Harding University in Searcy, Ark. She also graduated from Webster University with an masters in human resources management.
Dale Keenan joined the bank as a loan officer at its Fordland location. He has worked in banking for 20 years and is a 1982 graduate of Drury University.
Christy Batey joined Liberty Bank as a professional banking officer. She provides services to business owners and individuals for their commercial and private accounts. She has more than eight years of banking experience.
Environmental
John E. Herzog joined Pendergrass Associates Inc. as an engineering geologist and project manager. He has been an environmental consultant for nearly 20 years and managed projects for clients such as Burlington-Northern, ARCO Chemical, Phillips Petroleum and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Beverages
Chris Westhoff joined Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Company as business development manager. He is responsible for developing new business relationships and maintaining existing accounts. He is a 1998 graduate of SMSU.
