Angela C. Baier was promoted to staff accountant for Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller. She is responsible for assisting clients in auditing services. Baier has an accounting and business administration degree from Drury University. She is a member of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Environmental Committee.
Banking
The Bank announced the hiring of three new employees.
Sterling Huff Jr. was hired on as senior vice president and a member of the firm's management team. He is responsible for commercial lending, in-cluding servicing loan portfolios and generating new business. He has 15 years of banking experience and has a master's of business administration from Drury University.
John C. Maupin joined the firm as assistant vice president and as a commercial lender. He has eight years of banking experience and is a 1994 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Tara J. Faxon joined the firm as a loan representative. She is responsible for consumer lending. She has six years experience in the banking industry and is a 1995 graduate of South-west Missouri State University.
Sherry Ghan joined Great Southern Bank as a mortgage loan underwriter. Her responsibilities include the review and compliance of all first mortgage, conventional and government loans. Ghan's previous work experience includes loan origination work with other area lenders.
Steve Henderson joined Commerce Bank as a commercial loan officer. He is responsible for business development and customer service related to the bank's commercial lending and banking services in Polk County. Henderson graduated from SMSU in 1978 with a degree in business management. He has more than 20 years of experience in banking and business.
Community
Julie Guillebeau was appointed chief operations officer for the Council of Churches of the Ozarks. She has worked as the director of public relations and publications at Drury University for 20 years and most recently was chief operations officer for Springfield Trust Company. Guillebeau completed her undergraduate degree and master's of business administration at Drury. She remains an adjunct faculty member at that school. She is a frequent presenter at seminars and workshops in the areas of public and media relations and crisis management.
