Education
Joye H. Norris, PhD, was named dean of Drury University's College of Graduate and Continuing Studies. Norris oversees graduate degree programs and the university's evening and satellite undergraduate programs. Norris has experience as a dean, professor, vice president, assistant superintendent and principal. Prior to joining Drury, she was chief academic officer and vice president for academic affairs at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kan.
Engineering
Greg Whitlock, PE, joined Great River Engineering Inc. as a senior civil engineer. He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. In his new position, he is responsible for the engineering of several types of projects, including sanitary sewer, stormwater, site development and general civil projects.
Finance
Karen M. Owens joined the Springfield office of BKD LLP as marketing coordinator. She is a 2001 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in communications. In her new position, Owens helps implement the marketing, communications and public relations programs for BKD's southern Missouri practice, which comprises the offices in Springfield, Branson, Joplin and Pittsburg, Kan.
James G. Jobe joined Trust Company of the Ozarks as senior vice president and senior portfolio manager. He has more than 35 years of investment experience, having previously worked for B.C. Christopher & Company and Merrill Lynch.
Health Care
St. John's Health System announced three staff additions.
Charlie Mason joined St. John's Clinic as a physician marketing coordinator. Mason previously worked in St. John's community relations department. In his new position, he coordinates advertising for St. John's clinics and updates clinic brochures and physician information on St. John's Web site.
Rebecca Burton joined St. John's community relations department as a communication coordinator. She is a graduate of SMSU.
Prior to her new position, Burton was an intern, then a freelancer in the community relations department. Her new duties include writing for the St. John's employee newspaper, the Web site and Healthy People magazine.
Catherine Tonore, RN, BSN, joined St. John's Clinic administration for a year-long fellowship.
She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and Allied Health, which is affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis. She received her master's degree in health administration from St. Louis University.
Real Estate
Kim Gaisford joined Fitzgerald First Realty. Her responsibilities are to help market the company's new projects and existing developments, and to work with new buyers and listings.
