DeAnna Maples joined the adjunct faculty of Webster University, where she is teaching corporate budgeting and control during the school's evening master's of business administration program. Maples is the director of accounting for Cox Health Systems.

Finance

Karen Hall was promoted to senior vice president of commercial lending at Ozark Bank, which she joined in 1973. Hall has completed coursework at several schools, including the Graduate School of Lending in Norman, Okla., the Missouri Bankers Association School of Lending in Columbia, and the MBA School of Banking at Southwest Missouri State University.

Ann Marie Baker was promoted to community bank president of UMB Bank's Springfield banking center. Baker has been with UMB Bank since 1982. Prior to her promotion, she served as an executive vice president in commercial lending and treasury management. In her new position, she is responsible for building UMB's presence in the local market, overseeing all UMB locations in Springfield, and developing and maintaining business relationships by offering lending, treasury, investment, trust and related financial services.

Jamie Sivils was appointed to the board of directors of Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc., the holding company of Guaranty Federal Savings Bank. Sivils is manager of Morelock-Ross Companies, where he has served for the past five years.

Law

Legal Services of Southern Missouri announced the addition of two attorneys who will staff the organization's new juvenile office at 618 N. Robberson Ave. Sandra Lee Baker and Drew Davis will serve in the office as staff attorneys, providing legal assistance to low-income parents of juveniles in matters of neglect, abuse and related custody issues. Baker earned her law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She previously served as an associate at Shipley & Kjar LLC as the Rule 13 assistant prosecuting attorney for Jackson County, and also had a private practice. Davis earned his law degree from the Washington University School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, Davis served as an assistant public defender and as an associate with White, Ovletrea & Watson in St. Louis.

Manufacturing

Brad Weaver of Weaver Architectural Products Inc. has entered a partnership with EFCO Corporation and now serves as the company's sales representative in the region comprising southern Missouri, northern Arkansas and southeast Kansas.

Tourism

Mar'Ellen Felin joined the staff of the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau as communications director. Previously, Felin worked as public information officer for Ozarks Technical Community College. Her duties with the CVB include supervising communications department staff, handling advertising in national and regional markets, and other marketing functions.
