David Kean was named mortgage loan originator at Union Planters Bank's Republic location. He serves the Republic, Aurora, Nixa and Springfield markets. He joins the bank with experience as loan officer with Heartland Funding Corporation. Kean earned a degree in business management at Evangel University.
Extension center
Terry Egan joined University of Missouri Outreach and Extension as a nutrition specialist. She provides nutrition and health education in the 16 southwest Missouri counties and serves as co-coordinator of the Family Nutrition Education Program based in Greene County. Previous experience includes leading nutrition education programs for Montana State University Cooperative Extension from 1987-2001.
Home decor
Decorize Inc. recently announced three changes in staff.
Debbie Visio was promoted to assistant sales manager. She has been with the company for 18 months as customer service coordinator for the Decorize.com division, and coordinates and works with a nationwide sales force of 50 representatives for Decorize.com.
April Clarke joined the company as customer service representative. Her previous experience includes working as sales secretary for Turblex Inc. and Transland Inc.
Jamie Jaworski was named project manager for Decorize.com. She most recently worked as a consultant for Global Opportunities in Peoria, Ill., installing and configuring hardware and software.
Law enforcement
Springfield Police Chief Lynn Rowe was elected president of the Missouri Police Chief's Association. Rowe joined the association 10 years ago after coming to the Springfield Police Department. He previously served as Region 5 vice president and served on several committees.
Five officers were recently promoted within the Springfield Police Department. Cpl. Pat Haenni and Cpl. Steve Keiser were promoted to the rank of sergeant. Officers Jim Closser, Chad Hampton and Chris Wells were promoted to the rank of corporal.
Retail
Cindy Collins joined the staff at Springfield Office Supply. She is responsible for furniture sales in Springfield and the surrounding area.
Symphony
Jackie Barger joined the Springfield Symphony Orchestra Association as development director. He holds bachelor's degrees in communication and business administration and a master's degree in business administration from Drury University.
Waste services
Shelby Wood joined the staff of Advantage Waste Services Inc. as the head of the accounts payable department. In addition to her duties associated with accounts payable, she also works with the credit department and in customer service.
