Darin Wedgeworth joined Elite Promotions Inc. as a salesman. He is a 1995 graduate of Drury University where he majored in business administration and communication.

He has more than seven years of experience in marketing and in selling professional liability insurance.

Environment

Allen Apperson Jr. joined Environ-mental Works Inc. as project manager. He came to the company from Kansas City, where his background was in environmental engineering. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and he earned his master's degree in management systems from the University of Southern California.

He has experience in Phase I and II site assessments and spill prevention, control and countermeasure plans for industrial facilities. His career includes major environmental projects for Ford Motor Company and the U.S. Navy.

Finance

BKD LLP announced Debra L. Creason, Virginia "Jenny" L. Jensen and Linda D. Nichols were promoted from senior consultants to supervising consultants with the firm.

Creason, a 1996 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, provides Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement consulting and cost report preparation services for hospitals and rural health clinics. She also provides support during Medicare and Medicaid reviews and audits, prepares special payment requests and assists with analysis of hospital and clinic operations.

Jensen provides Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement consulting services for long-term care facilities, including cost report preparation and review, interim analyses of rates, analysis and strategic planning for appropriate reimbursement, appeals and negotiations with intermediaries. She also assists nursing facilities with the Medicare certification process and consults with them concerning record keeping, statistical accumulation and other requirements. Jensen is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Nichols provides reimbursement-consulting services for hospitals and assists them with the preparation and analysis of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. She is a 1986 graduate of SMSU, and her prior experience includes working for hospitals in Pennsylvania and Jefferson City.

Government

Matt Haase was hired as a full-time staff assistant for Congressman Roy Blunt, who is the House Majority Whip. Haase, a graduate of Hillcrest High School, previously worked as an intern in Blunt's Washington office.

He is majoring in economics with a minor in international relations at SMSU.

Law

Michelle D. Voss was named a shareholder in the law firm of Schmidt, Kirby & Sullivan PC, effective Jan. 1. She has been associated with the firm since May 1997, practicing primarily in the areas of workers' compensation and insurance defense. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and her law degree from the University of Tulsa.

Prior to joining Schmidt, Kirby & Sullivan, Voss was an assistant attorney general for the state of Missouri.

Insurance

Rebsamen Insurance announced the addition of three new agents to its staff.

Rick Alibers has nearly 24 years of experience. He holds several professional licenses, including chartered life underwriter. In his new position, Alibers' focus is on commercial property and casualty insurance.

Adam Smith also joined the company as a new agent focusing on commercial property and casualty coverage. Smith is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University and he has experience in outside sales of property and casualty insurance.

Elise Dameron joined Rebsamen, where she focuses on commercial and personal insurance. She is a graduate of Drury University and she previously worked with Shelter Insurance.
