Rick Imhoff joined Sterling Trust as senior vice president. He is responsible for portfolio management, personal trust administration, employee benefit plans and business development activities. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Drury University and is a certified financial planner practitioner. He has 24 years of investment management and trust experience.

Sherry Burnett was promoted to assistant vice president of real estate lending at Signature Bank's 3345 S. Campbell location. She has more than six years of experience in the mortgage industry and has a bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University. She earned her graduate of mortgage lending through the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women.

Law

Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC announced three staff additions.

David R. Adair joined the firm as an associate, practicing in insurance, contract, probate, commercial transaction and civil litigation law. He has more than five years of experience as an attorney. He holds a law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law and a bachelor's degree from Drury University.

Andrew K. Bennett joined the firm as counsel, practicing in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, banking and commercial transactions. He has more than 17 years of experience as an attorney, most recently as president and CEO of The Tenere Group Inc., a holding company for Intermed Insurance Company and Interlex Insurance Company. He has a law degree from the University of Tulsa.

Nancy Bright Kaufman has been named firm administrator in the Springfield office. She has more than 20 years of experience in law firm administration and has a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in human resources management from Southwest Missouri State University.

Restaurants

The Swisshelm Group Inc., a 33-store franchisee of Burger King, announced two promotions.

Bruce D. Swisshelm II has been named president/director of operations. He has been with the company since 1986, most recently holding the position of senior vice president/area manager.

Kelly Ragar has been named division manager, responsible for five restaurants in Springfield. She has been with the company since 1998, most recently as restaurant manager.

Jackie Douglas was promoted to independent sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc., responsible for customer service and the training and development of a sales force. She has been with the company for more than four years and has a bachelor's degree in biology from Drury University.
