Teri Matney joined The Payroll Company as a payroll specialist. She has more than 10 years of experience working with payroll.

Sandy Davis joined Sterling Trust as senior vice president of operations. She is responsible for all accounting functions, securities, and processing, information, technology and telecommunication systems. Davis has 25 years of experience in the banking and trust business. She holds the Certified Securities Operations Professional designation from the Institution of Certified Bankers.

BKD LLP announced two promotions.

Jeffrey E. Allen, CPA, was promoted to senior manager. As a member of BKD Health Care Group, a division of the firm, Allen assists community health centers with audits, cost reports, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, federal grant reporting and operational issues. He also serves as a firm-wide resource for federal audit guidelines and their application to community health centers. Allen joined BKD in 1994 after earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southwest Missouri State University.

Jared K. Scott, CPA, was promoted from senior manager to associate. Scott, a certified pension consultant and qualified pension administrator, provides tax and employee benefit consulting services for clients in a wide range of industries. He focuses on pension administration and employee coverage, compensation and retirement distribution issues and opportunities. Scott's tax consulting experience includes the research, planning and review of tax-service engagements, and working with clients in the real estate industry.

Health care

Donna L. Steward, MD, joined CoxHealth's Center for Internal Medicine. She attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Steward served as a major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. In 2002, she was re-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

St. John's Clinic announced the addition of three neurosurgeons and four physicians.

Alan Scarrow, MD, has joined St. John's Clinic as department chair of neurosurgery. Scarrow graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with both a medical degree and a law degree.

Bassam Hadi, MD, has joined St. John's Clinic from Neurosurgery and Neurology Associates in Akron, Ohio. Hadi graduated from St. Louis School of Medicine.

Sunghoon Lee, MD, has joined St. John's Clinic as a neurosurgeon. He completed his medical degree and neurosurgery residency at Yale University.

Gregory J. Kutter, MD, has joined St. John's Clinic of Emergency Medicine. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y.

Victor M. Phillips, MD, has joined Smith-Glynn-Callaway Clinic in general and endovascular surgery. He received his medical education from Northwestern University's School of Medicine in Chicago.

Anjum G. Qureshi, MD, has joined St. John's Clinic in Monett. She received her medical degree from the School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Jay A. Woodring, MD, joined St. John's Clinic as an anesthesiologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.
