Architecture

Ashley Clark joined Richard E. Hardy Inc. Architect as a designer and production assistant. Clark recently graduated from Drury University with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He is involved with project development.

Banking

Jefferson C. McNatt joined Commerce Bank as vice president and team leader of its commercial banking division in Springfield. McNatt has six years of experience with a national banking franchise. His background in financial services includes key business development and relationship management positions for middle market and large corporate clients in several markets. In his new position, he is responsible for overseeing the commercial banking team's business development efforts, including establishing and expanding customer relationships with a full line of lending and treasury services solutions.

Becky K. Lea was promoted to vice president of Citizens Union State Bank and Trust of Southwest Missouri. Lea has more than 20 years of banking experience. She handles commercial, residential, vehicle and personal loans, and serves as a loan administration director.

City government

Ralph Rognstad, assistant planning director for the city of Springfield, was named the director of planning, effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Fred May, who is resigning to accept the local recovery manager position with the city of Stockton. Rognstad served as the assistant director of planning for the city of Springfield since 1996 and also worked as acting planning director for two years when May was on special assignment. He joined the city staff in 1988 as a principal planner and previously worked in South Carolina, Virginia, and North Dakota.

Finance

Janice L. Zacny, RN, was promoted to management consultant at the Springfield office of BKD LLP. Zacny, a registered nurse and licensed nursing home administrator with more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry, helps nursing facilities identify Medicare recipients and document skilled nursing services to obtain appropriate Medicare recovery. She also provides training in case management of residents, and negotiates level of care and rates with insurance companies and health maintenance organizations.

Health care

Derek R. Kaelin, DDS, joined Parkcrest Dental Group. Kaelin received a bachelor's degree in biology at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and he graduated from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association.

Insurance

Stanley B. Robinson joined Ollis and Company's employee benefits department. Robinson has been involved with employee benefits for the past 14 years as both a client, responsible for purchasing employee benefits for a large manufacturing company for eight years, and as a broker and carrier representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri in the Springfield area for the last six years. He holds bachelor's degrees in accounting and management from Southeast Missouri State University.

Media

Mary Fleenor was promoted to vice president/ market manager for Clear Channel Radio's five-station Springfield Cluster. She previously was regional vice president of programming for the Midwest Trading Zone. Fleenor replaces Donna Baker who transferred to Omaha, Neb.

Sales

Lynn Rathbun was promoted to team leader for Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct sales gourmet foods company.

Waste management

Advantage Waste Services Inc. announced six staff additions.

In Springfield, Kenneth Bollinger joined as a route driver and Kevin Neighbors joined as a roll-off driver. Four individuals joined the company's Verona operations: Jim Brooks was named sales manager; Michelle Studdard is office manager; Dana Smith is a customer service representative; and Anthony Villano transferred from Springfield to lead the roll-off division.
