Nelson M. Dela Rosa, M.D., has joined St. John's Springfield Clinic of Internal Medicine. Dela Rosa previously practiced at Columbia Regional Medical Center in Alabama. He is board certified in internal medicine.

Norah Johnson, Psy.D., has joined Burrell Behavioral Health's Buffalo Family Health Care clinic. Johnson will offer psychological assessments, EAP counseling for businesses, outpatient therapy and school-based services, as well as behavioral health issues.

Carmen Reynolds has been promoted to assistant director of public relations for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. She has been employed at Community Blood Center since March. Her responsibilities include publication and graphic design, tours of the facility, media relations for the Joplin area and assisting with public relations.

David A. Seidl, M.D., has joined St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin with a specialty of gastroenterology. He is in practice at 921 E. 34th St. Seidl completed his internship and residency at the University of Iowa and served a fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine.

Asan M. Ariff, M.D., has joined St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin with a speciality of nephrology. He is associated with Drs. R. Robert Hatelid and John R. Martinez on 30th Street. Ariff completed his internship and served his residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill., and served a fellowship at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He is board certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in nephrology.

Laura B. Den-Ouden, M.D., has joined the Diagnostic Clinic in Cox Medical Plaza I. DenOuden completed her residency at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was chief resident. She is board certified in internal medicine.

Susie K. Sharpe, M.D., internal medicine, has joined St. John's Strafford Medical Center. Sharpe previously practiced for five years in Bellevue, Washington. She completed her residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, and she is board certified in internal medicine.

Michael Smith-O'Brien, M.D., has joined St. John's Women's Clinic in the National Avenue Medical Building. Smith-O'Brien is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and was previously in private practice in Oklahoma City, Okla. He obtained his medical degree in 1989 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, Texas.
