People Centric Consulting Group CEO Don Harkey this month released a new book designed to improve workplaces.
The book, called "Becoming People Centric: Designing Organizations Where People and Performance Rise Together," was independently published on June 2. It's available on Amazon for a $9.99 paperback price.
Harkey, who authored the 121-page book along with Diana Royalty, said the work intends to bridge the gap between organizational and employee needs.
"The needs of the organization and its people can align very well," Harkey said via email. "When people feel engaged in their job, their company makes more money. We want to show the world that there is a better way."
Harkey said the "People Centric framework" in the book provides a set of systems to accomplish workplace needs.
"Science clearly shows what people need to work effectively. Business shows us what organizations need to thrive," he said. "Our book introduces the People Centric framework, a set of systems that unites organizational needs with employee needs to create exceptional results."
Harkey said the top lesson that readers can take away from the book is that "passion is productive."
"Any organization can implement systems that align and empower people to create extraordinary results," he said.
