Penny donated $100 to each of the more than 200 attendees of the National Philanthropic Day Awards Luncheon at Highland Springs Country Club, on the condition that each recipient donate the money to charity.
Penny made the announcement while accepting the honor for Outstanding Corporation of the Year on Penmac’s behalf from the Ozarks Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Penmac was nominated by Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
“The journey of Penmac’s success has been much like the impossible dream,” Penny said in a news release. “My hope is that this small gesture can assist in making someone else’s dream possible.”
Penny is asking that recipients let her know how they will donate the money and hopes to highlight a few at next year’s luncheon.
