The company also was named No. 1 on DiversityBusiness.com’s Top Women-Owned Businesses list and No. 2 on the Top Diversity-Owned Businesses list.
Nationally, Penmac ranked No. 18 among the top small businesses, No. 29 among women-owned businesses and No. 61 among diversity-owned businesses.
This is the seventh year DiversityBusiness.com has published listings; Penmac received top honors on the small-business and women-owned businesses in 2005. The rankings are based on revenues and impact.
“This is truly an honor, to be recognized again on the list,” said Patti Penny, owner of Penmac, in a news release. “This award shows our commitment to growth and diversity.”
Penmac and the other companies honored on the listings will be recognized at DiversityBusiness.com’s seventh annual Multicultural Business Conference, which will be held in April at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
Earlier this month, Penmac was named one of southwest Missouri’s Best Places to Work and ranked No.1 as the fastest-growing southwest Missouri company in 2005 by Springfield Business Journal.
