Nonprofit America First Policies had advertised an appearance by Vice President Mike Pence, but the event has been scrapped, the Springfield News-Leader reports.
Erin Montgomery, spokeswoman for the pro-Trump nonprofit, said, "We just got out too far ahead of ourselves and posted something that had not been officially confirmed."
Pence is touring the country to promote the tax law changes put into place last year.
