House Speaker Nancy Pelosi yesterday unveiled a more than $3 trillion coronavirus aid package.
The proposal comprises $1 trillion for states and cities, a new round of cash payments to individuals and "hazard pay" for essential workers.
“We must think big, for the people, now," Pelosi said. “Not acting is the most expensive course."
Republicans reportedly are wary of another round of aid. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday said the proposal is full of "pet priorities" for Democrats.
