Pellham Phillips

Posted online
Chuck Foster, AIA, Larry Phillips, PE, Jason Smith and Sy Shumaker of Pellham Phillips are providing architecture and engineering services for the new Stages St. Louis facility in Chesterfield. Brinkmann Constructors is the contractor for the approximately 75,000-square-foot structure, which has an estimated cost of $20 million. With a proposed completion date of fall 2007, Stages St. Louis’ design is inspired by the jewel-box-style theater houses of the turn of the century. With a grand lobby and highly detailed auditorium, the facility will set the stage for musical productions.

Avonna Schirman of Pellham Phillips is the interior designer for the project. The lobby and mezzanine will serve as a social gathering space for patrons, with theatrical-styled décor and furnishings.

Stages St. Louis is a nonprofit theater company dedicated to producing top quality musical theater productions and fostering artistic education. The new facility will have two theaters, lobbies, a performing arts academy, scene shops, rehearsal halls, recording studios and administrative offices.
