The Professional Bull Riders elite Built Ford Tough Series will be returning to Missouri State University's JQH Arena on Sept. 17-19.
The event, a PFI Western invitational presented by Bass Pro Shops, comprises three rounds, pitting the top 40 bull riders up against the top bulls in the PBR, according to a PBR news release. The top 15 riders will advance to the championship round on Sunday.
Last year's two-day event in September took in about 15,000 people, with a sold-out crowd of more than 8,500 on the event's second day, according to Jack Carnefix, PBR senior manager of public relations.
Bull riding events will be held all three days, according to
Missouri State TIX, one of the vendors of the $15 tickets. Tickets also can be purchased at PFI Western Wear Store, 2816 S. Ingram Mill Road. On Sept. 17, PBR and PFI will distribute complimentary tickets to Ozarks children with illnesses and their families as part of the CoxHealth Kids Night, the release said.
Bull riding begins at 8 p.m. Sept 17, at 6:50 p.m. Sept. 18 and at 5 p.m. Sept 19, the release said.
The PBR Fan Zone will be held at Bass Pro Shops 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 18, with events including:
• Stick-bull racing, bull roping, face painting and mechanical bulls;
• The second-round bull draft;
• Rider autographs;
