Shares of PayPal closed down 24% on Wednesday, its worst-ever trading day.
The share decline came after the company projected revenue would grow about 15% to 17% during 2022. Analysts were looking for 17.9% growth this year.
PayPal CEO Dan Schulman said the company took "a measured approach" to guidance.
