What activities or endeavors support that mission locally?
Monthly continuing education meetings featuring relevant topics that educate and inform our members, model bridge building competition for high school kids and donations to Salute to Construction.
Also, lobbying local regulators to encourage safe and sound design practices.
Who can be a member of PEPP?
Any professional engineer or engineering intern who is employed in the private sector and a current member of MSPE can be a member of PEPP.
What are some of the biggest issues faced by PEPP members?
Integrating public safety and economical designs to meet the requirements of clients and municipalities and balancing development and protecting the environment.
How does the chapter help to address those issues?
We present our concerns and solutions as a unified group of professional engineers. PEPP holds monthly meetings to discuss, review and address issues facing our members.
What goals do you have for PEPP under your leadership?
To continue the continuing education meetings with new and relevant topics, to develop public appreciation from the media sector of the roles that engineers are involved in, and to encourage our members to be more involved with community events.
