Football fans appear underwhelmed by the upcoming Super Bowl match between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams.
TicketIQ, an aggregator of ticket-buying options on the primary and secondary markets, yesterday reported tickets for the Super Bowl have dropped 17 percent since Sunday's conference championships.
TicketIQ founder Jesse Lawrence called the Patriots-Rams bout the "worst-case" demand scenario. Entering the Super Bowl for the fifth time this decade, Patriots fans are experiencing fatigue, and the Rams lack a fan base known to travel, he said.
The least-expensive tickets on Ticketmaster yesterday were selling for $3,500, and the best seats were priced at $30,000.
